South Sea Island is Fiji’s most popular day trip island and is a short high-speed catamaran ride with South Sea Cruises from Port Denarau. Upon arrival at South Sea Island, guests are transferred from the main vessel to the island via a short tender boat ride, adding to the authentic island experience. Being so close to Denarau means you can make the most of the day lazing on the beach, snorkelling, kayaking, and enjoying the many activities on offer.

Plenty to do: It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained with a semi-submersible submarine for underwater viewing, a saltwater swimming pool, and complimentary use of all non-motorised water sports equipment such as snorkelling gear, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks.

Food and drinks: Lunchtime is a highlight with a BBQ buffet including a selection of meats, salads, breads, and fruit in the open-air restaurant, followed by a traditional Fijian (Meke) performance (daily except Sundays). Enjoy complimentary local beer, house wine, and soft drinks while on the island.

Additional options: While on the island, enhance your experience with scuba diving, available for a limited time until 31 March 2026. Or unwind with an island massage and enjoy one of our handcrafted cocktails at the Tipsy Turtle Bar (menu).
